How can I download the application?
The easiest way to download Hanashi is to enter your mobile number on the main page under "Get it now" and we will send you an a SMS with the download link.
Please note that the phone number must be in an international format, including the "+" sign.
You can also open the phone´s web browser and type the address http://m.hanashi.nu.
How do I add a new contact?
Select "Add new contact" in the Hanashi application. You will be able to choose between existing contacts from your phone book or type in your friend's phone number. Write your personal message and select "Send". The phone will send an invitation by a SMS to your friend.
We have noticed that some users in some markets have problems receiving the invitation SMS. If this happens, please inform your friend how to download the application by following the instructions under "How can I download the application?"
Recording Voice Messages does not work?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to record voice messages on all phone models. However, you should always be able to listen to voice messages from your friends.
Installation problems
First, check if you can connect to any page on the internet from the phone. If not, the internet settings might be missing or not correct. See, How do I download Internet settings.
Also, verify in the phone that the date is correct.
What does it cost to send text messages in Hanashi?
When communicating online with someone, One message of 60 - 80 characters will use approximately 300 - 500 bytes (0,3 - 0,5) Kbyte.
Do check your local operator for tariffs on data traffic.

You download Hanashi and you are on and can immediately start sharing files and chatting with your friends.
Please note also that some phones do not allow several running applications which means that the minimise function is not supported in Hanashi.

I have spread Hanashi to a friend but he never goes green or answer back?
On some phone models you you can not automatically start the application even after download, they need to disable the permission questions under tools and program manager.
The camera function does not work?
Unfortunately, for some phone models, the camera function is not supported in Hanashi. Pictures can be received but you cannot, for those phones, take and send a picture.
Using Hanashi in USA?
We've seen a US phone with a AT&T SIM, roamed in Sweden, that always received new chat sessions as install-SMSs in the Inbox. We currently know of no solution.
We've also seen problems when using a Swedish SIM roamed in AT&T network in USA. We currently know of no solution to this either.
How do I allow my friend to see my position?
As default, no-one can see your position.
You should mark your friends name in the contact list. Then use more/alternatives and set in menu Allow Position. To not allow, just Deny.
How do I see my friends position?
If your friend has allowed you to see the position, just scroll down and stay at your friends name in the contact list. Then you will see the geographical name and distance from your position.
How can I see my friend's position on a map?
If a person in your contact list allows you to see his postion (see above), then you can also see his postion on a map.
First you choose the person as described in "Position" above so you can see his postion.
Now, move down one step and select Map. The map will be shown on your phone. You can zoom in and out with "1" and "3".
My friends position is not correct or there are no position?
Unfortunately, Hanashi cannot show the exact position. It depends on nearest site you are connected to and also interpretation of geographical areas of towns/villages.
Also, some areas are still missing geographical data.
For some phone models, it is not possible to retrieve the cell information which means that no positions can be shown.
Usability when roaming abroad?
Normally, when you travel abroad, you can still use Hanashi just as you do back home if your subscription allow you to roam.
However, please observe that you are using the foreign network for data traffic which might be very expensive.
So check the tariffs for data traffic in the foreign network!
